Severn’s Fraternal Saturday

Saturday 22nd July saw two fraternal visits to Severn lodge 4399 at Nailsea to witness a demonstration of a first degree ceremony including an explanation of the First degree tracing board. The WM and brethren of Worcestershire’s Severn lodge 5583 who meet at Stourport on Severn made their annual trip south to Nailsea, the two Severn lodges have been visiting for somewhere around 30 years. As always, the WM & wardens of the visiting lodge take over to close, the two lodges even have a very similar Severn “song”  – come along if you’d like to hear it !

WM’s and the brethren of Severn 5583

Rob Collins had kindly arranged for an EA & two FC from the Adair club to come along to witness a first degree, the brethren were treated to an excellent explanation of the first degree tracing board by Gerrard Oldham of the Worcestershire Severn lodge, a very rare opportunity for the new masons.
The Adair club members were also presented with their Adair club pins by Rob Collins the NW rep.

Worcestershire have the cubit club which is for new & light blue masons , contact details were exchanged between the Adair and Cubit clubs with the hope of some visits.
The afternoon was rounded of with an excellent festive board in good company, finishing with the Severn song accompanied by “the trays” !!
