Goldies Sing & Smile

Following on from the recent article ( 6 July 2023 – Click here ) about the MCF donation of £15,000 over the next three years, to this charity, the Brethren of Connaught Lodge in Radstock were delighted to know this, and on Wednesday 12th July Chris James the Charity Steward of Connaught Lodge had the pleasure in joining their session at the Conygre Hall in Timsbury.

The singalong and line dancing was led enthusiastically by Trustee Susan Crick, supported by her husband and Chair of the Trustees John and Emma Shearman (The operating and fund raising manager). The group was impressed to learn that the MCF is funded solely from the generosity of individual Freemasons, as is the Lodge charity account, NOT from public street collections or similar.

During the tea break Chris took the opportunity to talk to one or two of the members, who explained that as they live on their own, this gives them the incentive to get out and have a bit of fun with their friends (old and new), Chris said Fun it definitely was, lively and great fun was had by all!
