Holy Royal Arch Representative
Information and Resources for Lodge HRA Representative
It is no secret that there is an unbreakable bond between the Craft and the Royal Arch and that the
Craft recognises the Royal Arch as the climax and completion of every Mason’s journey through
Pure Antient Freemasonry.
What that means is that everything that you do in Freemasonry is built on the solid foundation of
the Craft together with the Royal Arch.
The Book of Constitutions records that, in 1813, the United Grand Lodge of England’s preliminary
declaration was ‘pure Antient Masonry consists of three degrees and no more, viz., those of the
entered Apprentice, the Fellow Craft and the Master Mason, including the Supreme Order of the
Holy Royal Arch’.
This declaration still stands today over 200 years later as the first statement in the General Rules
and Regulations for the Government of the Craft. It is the only other Order referred to in those
regulations and cements the importance of the Royal Arch in every Mason’s life.
A Master Mason of 4 weeks and upwards is eligible to join and complete their journey in Pure
Antient Freemasonry.
