New Master for Somerset Fairway Lodge

At the Installation of Somerset Fairway Lodge No 9251 held at Weston super Mare Masonic Hall on the 3rd of November, Brother Scott McKechnie was installed as Master of the Lodge.

Scott joined Somerset Fairway in 2012, having been initiated passed and raised in a Lodge in Scotland. He passed through the offices of Somerset Fairway to finally reach the chair after a covid delay!

A member of Weston super Mare golf club, Scott is an enthusiastic Mason and golfer. Installing Master, Roger Hutchings commented, it is great to have a Master Mason as our new Master, for many of our members Somerset Fairway isn’t their Mother Lodge and very often we have past Masters going through the Chair. I’m sure Scott will have a great year.

Senior Warden, W.Bro Steve Edwards arrived at Weston MH just two minutes before the Lodge opened having travelled from his home in Guernsey, that is dedication!

The next Fairway meeting will be held on Wednesday 6th April 2022 at Yatton Masonic Hall, with golf before at Weston super Mare Golf Club, where else!
