At their meeting on 5th November Lodge Uno Corde, who meet in Kenysham on Saturdays, welcomed the Headmistress Natalie Hannah and Chief Fundraiser Lucy Beattie from Mendip School, as well as other members from the school. They then received a talk from Natalie about what the school does and how it helps children with special educational and disability needs.
The School has a target of £1.6million in order to construct a swimming pool, which will help the children immensely. Lodge Uno Corde has already donated £5,000 for the pool and on Saturday donated a further £5,000, with match funding of £500 from the province. The pictures show Graham Puddy the Provincial Grand Charity Steward as well as members of the Lodge, Natalie, Lucy and others from the school.
The Lodge recently benefitted from a legacy donation, which they are putting to good use helping worthy causes.
