The Lodges
Parrett & Axe Lodge No 814
Meets at 18:30 on the third Tuesday except February at 17:30
Months – Jan, Feb (Installation 16:30), Mar, Apr, Oct, Nov and Dec
Warranted in 1860 the Lodge originally met at the George Hotel in Crewkerne and then the Town Hall before settling at it’s current home in South Street.
The Lodge meets seven times a year on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Our active year starts in October and ends for summer recess in April. The month of February always sees the installation of the new Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. Our regular meetings start at 6:30pm except for the February Installation meeting when it starts at 5:30pm. In addition, we have regular Lodge of Instruction meetings on the 1st Tuesday of each month during the masonic year. New lodge members are encouraged to attend these informal meetings when possible, to learn more about Freemasonry in general and to learn and practice ritual in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The Festive Board follows each of the monthly meetings and all members are encouraged to attend if possible, although this is not compulsory.
Our members range from bothers in their 20s up to brothers in their 90s, so all will find friendship and experience in young and old alike.
We would like to say to anyone who has the slightest interest or wants to know more about freemasonry, You only have to ask. Like all private membership organisations, we define qualifications for membership. If you profess a belief in a Supreme Being and live by a moral code, you will be welcome to join us.
The Lodge has it’s own website and can also be found on Twitter and Facebook;
