The January 2023 meeting was very special. Not only did Eldon lodge donate £1000 to the Clevedon YMCA, they did so at a white table, where partners are invited to dine, and when everyone say down to a “Burns Supper”, complete with a piper (thanks you Sandy), and a toast to a very rare Haggis.

As you can see from the photos below, the festive board was a very happy affair, and included a presentation to John Howard (see right) of the Clevedon YMCA, who gave an interesting and informative talk on the history and work of the YMCA in Clevedon.

Eldon lodge were also very pleased to welcome back Peter Milsom, who was
worshipful master in 2010, and who hasn’t been able to attend for a number of years.

The “Burns Supper” commencedwith Sandy leading a procession around the dining room (the Poets Suite), playing traditional Bagpipe music. He then presented the address to the Haggis, which was followed by a toast to Robbie Burns.
