UGLE and MCF introduce #TimetoText
The COVID-19 Community Fund, which is managed by the MCF (the Freemasons’ Charity) has reached £500k – a fantastic achievement and testament to the charitable nature of Freemasons
With this in mind, the United Grand Lodge of England are helping launch a new initiative, #TimetoText, which is to encourage people to donate £5 to the Fund as we begin the push to £1 million.
The document below, from UGLE, highlights just some of the national Covid-19 related achievements. In the Province of Somerset, we are particularly proud of the following …
- 50 tablet PC’s for distribution to the Covid Wards of Royal United Hospital Bath, Yeovil Hospital, Taunton Musgrove Park Hospital, Weston General and Bristol Royal Infirmary, these to be used to assist patients to communicate with loved ones during their time in the ICU and the recovery wards. See here and here
- Raised £000’s to fund up to 100 meals/day for the vulnerable and distressed in the Bath and surrounding areas. See here
- Have supported food banks and other individuals and companies providing food to the vulnerable across the entire province. See here , here, and here, and here
- and more
