Royal Sussex Quadruple Ceremony
At their March meeting Royal Sussex Lodge held an historic event by Passing four members to the Second Degree in a special Ceremony:

Brothers Patrick, Rhys, Fredrick and John, representing the future of the Lodge, were all Passed together at the same time.
In the lodge’s long history this had not been done before and it was certainly a memorable occasion.
It did however require some masterful planning, and although the spacious Bath Masonic Hall enables this, the rehearsal had to take place in the rather cramped confines of the downstairs museum, due to another event taking place in the main hall.
This caused the Director of Ceremonies and Senior Brethren some concern when planning to execute a quality ceremony, which the lodge was expected to produce.
Under the watchful eye of three Grand Officers and several distinguished visitors, it all went perfectly and the extended 2nd Degree Tracing Board presentation, by the Worshipful Master Richard Mayer, and Junior Warden Sam Mayer (Father & Son) was a highlight.
The Festive Board which followed was also a joyful triumph!
