Portcullis Lodge Hosts The Women’s Institute

On the 28th February the Worshipful Master Mike Norton and Brethren of Portcullis Lodge 2028, Langport welcomed the Long Sutton Levellers Women’s Institute and their partners to a tour and talk on the World Famous Hanging Chapel and Freemasonry in Langport and Somerset.

Approximately 60 guests were in attendance to hear Mike and Portcullis Director of Ceremonies Denis Paull speak for about 30 mins on the history of the Hanging Chapel and answer general questions about Freemasonry. The Lodge had previously donated £200 to a WI appeal and were pleased to host the WI members and guests.
