Tyntesfield welcomes an Initiate – Chelsea Style

At the most recent meeting of Tyntesfield Lodge 4494, 4th Feb 2025, meeting at Nailsea we welcomed a new Initiate Bro Ian Banwell in a Unique Initiation.

The lodge Junior Warden WBro Duncan Webb (Daniel Dean) who is also Worshipful Master of Chelsea Lodge 3098 in London, took the chair to Initiate his candidate in the style of Chelsea Lodge. This made it unique in that the workings from the Chair were Logic Ritual, whilst the workings on the floor were Tyntesfield/Emulation Ritual…..a mixture that worked happily together.

The lodge room was busy with some 58 brethren attending, including the APGM for Somerset WBro Barrie Palmer, the PGM for Gloucestershire RWBro Ian Michael Davies plus several past rulers from Province of Bristol. A heady mixture for any new initiate!

The ceremony was carried out superbly by the team from Tyntesfield and a new, happy initiate was welcomed into the lodge. The charge after Initiation was given by VWBro Richard Lewis PDPGM Bristol.

The Festive Board was also conducted Chelsea Style with some entertainment in the form of song “We’ll give it up tomorrow” which was well received with all joining in the choruses, and WBro Barrie Palmer singing the Enterered Apprentice Song A Capella, all in all a very happy and harmonious evening.
