Brother Ed Cullen Receives High Sheriff’s Award

The High Sheriff of Somerset Rob Beckley recently presented an award to Ed Cullen in recognition of great and valuable services to the Taunton Community and of the appreciation of residents and people supported by Ed’s efforts. Ed runs the monthly Taunton Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club (AFVBC) which meets at The Vivary Park Golf Club, Taunton on the 1st Sunday of every month. He also Chairs the Somerset Armed Forces Day event – which attracted 36,000 visitors to Vivary Park in 2024!
Ed also happens to (currently) be an Entered Apprentice in the Emergency Services Lodge 9391, who meet in Taunton. The High Sheriff commented: “Thus, it was with real pleasure that I presented Ed Cullen with a High Sheriff’s Award in recognition of his great and valuable services to the community. I greatly admire the man, he gets things done. And he is a thoroughly nice person, generous, hard working and supportive of people, especially veterans, in need. He (supported by his wonderful wife Jackie) makes a difference to very many people in the community, he helps their well-being and expands their waistlines! A great guy and very deserving of recognition for what he does. Thank you, Ed.”
Many congratulations to Ed, who is pictured above with Jackie and High Sheriff Rob.
