El Dorado or Burnham on Sea?
With no less than five Grand Officers, including two Past PGMS, Rural Philanthropic Lodge was full of gold, for the Installation of their new Master Doctor Malcolm Price.
The room was packed, with nearly 60 brethren attending, to witness a faultless ceremony conducted by the Installing Master Mike David. Malcolm then went on to install his officers in his own inimitable style, smiling all the way through. A special mention needs to go to Warren Beavis, Ash Price and Simon Chanter for delivering the working tools superbly well, with it being all of their first time working on the floor and Simon being an FC! Also Graham Roper, who due to an absence, delivered the address to the Brethren with only 10 minutes notice.

Rob Hughes the PrJGW was there to represent Ray Guthrie, with Nathan Henderson as his DC. Rob was made to work for his supper as he had the pleasure of presenting three Grand Lodge certificates to Steven Birkett, Dan Watkins and Wayne Brown.

Then, as is custom after the award of the GL Certificate, Julian Frost the Royal Arch representative gave each of them copy of the RA booklet, saying he has a form in his case!

The Festive Board was as usual, lively, full of fun and laughter, with a lovely meal of Prawn Cocktail, Roast Beef, followed by everyone’s favourite Cheese and Biscuits.
A great night was had by all and they are all looking forward to their next meeting in March, a double Initiation! If you are interesting in attending please contact Ian Evans the Lodge Secretary, rplsec@gmail.com
