Estune BBQ With The Port of Bristol Shanty Crew

Saturday 29th July was the date for the Estune annual BBQ and this was seen to be a great success with 120 guests enjoying a great night with singing from the Port of Bristol Shanty Crew who entertained everyone. Estune donated £500 to the chosen charity of the crew which was for the Teenage Cancer Trust that reported on the night they have managed to raise £18000 so far what a great achievement.

The party goers were treated to a fine BBQ catered for by Sam and her trusty helpers and finished of with a great selection of deserts.

Some of the loud shirts

After the food had settled the main event of the night Cash BINGO arranged by our very own Martin Hockley, this was instead of the traditional raffle, which saw a further £250 raised for local Lodge charities, A BBQ would not be a BBQ without the loud shirt competition, we saw a varied range from bright to very bright shirts with two winners receiving a bottle of wine, I have to say I would of entered however I melted my shirt when trying to iron it but I have included a picture of a Bulldog what was on the shirt, overall this was a great night and we have to say a special thanks to Eric Sortwell the Estune social secretary for organising the event and to all the guests for their support on the night. Our next get together will be Trafalgar night were we hope to see you all again.
