The Masonic Fishing Charity Bi-Monthly Meeting
The Somerset Branch of the Masonic Fishing Charity met on Thursday the 25th of November and held their bi – monthly committee meeting at Jacklands Fishing Lakes Nailsea. The meeting was chaired by Rob Collins.
We are planning on a spectacular year (2023) of fishing events fully funded by us here at the Somerset Branch of the MTSFC, disabled and disadvantaged kids, ladies recovering from breast cancer and serving or ex service personnel suffering from PTSD are all on our list for future events.
We are still looking for volunteers and funding to help get these events going, if anyone would like to get involved and help us then please drop me a line or contact us at www.mtsfc.org.uk , we are always looking for funding to hold these events if any of the Masonic lodges in Somerset would like to find out more I and my team are happy to attend your Lodges or indeed your groups or charity events to do a talk on The Masonic Fishing Charity.
After our committee meeting and a wonderful lunch and coffee most of us headed out for an afternoon social fishing building our teams Camaraderie together, I had the greatest honour to coach one of our new volunteers on how to fly fish who managed to catch a couple of trout by the end of the day.
A huge thankyou goes out to all our members to whom always help to make our events a success, as we always say when we hold these events, we are truly catching smiles.
