Freemasons get interesting requests for charitable help but none more so than a request for beekeeping suits and gauntlets from Hidden Valley Bushcraft who provide rehabilitation courses for Armed Forces Veterans in the Chew Valley area through their  http://woodlandwarriorprogramme.org/

Ex Royal Marine Nick Goldsmith and his wife Louise carry out wonderful work up on their small holding near Winford, and at other woodland sites in the Mendips, helping veterans with PTSD and other traumas adapt back into everyday life.

Worshipful Master Mick Wright, his wife Tacey and the members of Pilgrims Lodge No. 772 in Glastonbury, were only too glad to help them and contributed £300 from the proceeds of a recent Lodge function to provide 2 protective suits plus gauntlets to keep the veterans safe whilst tending to the bees and gathering honey as part of their bushcraft courses.

The Beehive has long been a symbol used within freemasonry and symbolizes the industriousness of the Lodge.
