Coleridge Lodge see unveiling of Coleridge Statue
On a very wet Friday, 21st October members of Coleridge Lodge 1750 representing Clevedon went to Ottery St Mary, Devon to see the unveiling of a Statue dedicated to the poet, critic and theologian Samuel Taylor Coleridge (whom the Lodge is named after) on the 250th anniversary of his birth.
This is the first statue to be erected in his honour and was sponsored by the Coleridge Society whose Baron is the 5th Coleridge Baron. The Lodge has a personal connection with the family, as Tim Coleridge the poets 3x great grandson is a member of Coleridge Lodge and will be attending the the continuation of the Poets 250th birthday celebrations at Clevedon Masonic Centre on the 29th October 2022.
