The Final Ten Thousand Steps
Bro. Paul Charlton, of Connaught Lodge no 3573, has now completed his fundraising challenge for Cancer Research UK. Throughout March he was walking 10,000 steps a day, that is a total of 310,000 steps. In fact, he was so enthusiastic he actually walked 343,783 which is 262 km: the equivalent of walking from Bath to Preston in Lancashire. In doing so he lost 4.5 kg in weight.
At the start he set himself a target of £250; however, he has so far raised £905. In recognition of Paul’s sterling effort, with a few more donations we could help him achieve the magic £1,000. Well done Paul; many congratulations from all the brethren of Connaught Lodge.
