A reflection on the 2nd Degree and the hope that is expressed in it

Phrases like “bringing rude matter into due form…” and “Grand Geometrician” stick in the memory from the second degree. Like all our ceremonies they express some really big ideas for living our Masonic lives, and this reflection draws out the hope for an ordered world that lies at the heart of the degree.
