Frome Food Bank Supported By Frome Lodges & PGLS.

Freemasons throughout the country have been working very hard during these difficult times in order to continue their support of local community charities, of which many are struggling due to unprecedented needs being placed on their service provision.
The Brethren of the two Craft Lodges in Frome, Royal Somerset 973 and Forest Of Selwood 8912 joined forces in order to play their part in meeting that local challenge.

The Worshipful Masters of the Frome Lodges were able to present a joint cheque for £1.700 to the Fair Frome Food Bank on Friday 22nd May.
Each Lodge contributed £500 which was then made up to a total of £1,700 by a very timely and generous donation from the Masonic Charitable Foundation via the Provincial Grand Lodge of Somerset.

Worshipful Masters John Rawlins of Royal Somerset and Malcolm Elder of
Forest of Selwood (pictured left & right respectively) made the presentation in accordance with current social distancing rules. Karen Stewart (Vice Chair) and Lenka Grimes (pictured left) were delighted to receive such a goodly sum as an unexpected donation to boost their very worthy charitable cause.

The Brethren of Frome thank them and their fellow volunteers at the Food Bank for continuing to work hard in support of those in need within the Frome area.

W. Bro Richard Dredge. Secretary, Royal Somerset Lodge 973.
